Hi, so far we have been talking a lot about depression. And Stresscabin has given you many ways you can start to challenge depression. Today, let's journey and go even further. NOW You can be more ambitious and actually start cultivating your self- confidence. Doing this means getting out of your habitual depressive thoughts mindset. It can be done and you can do it! How?
I want to tell you a short story that shows us the secret of getting of our minds and into going in a positive and cofidence increasing direction. Here it is. In a novel called The Dice Man, the individual rolls a die to guide him in making decisions that affect this life. I am not advocating you should do this in exactly the same way as the dice man. But you can adopt and apply te same principle for cultivating your self-confidence. Here's how. Write out a numbe of positve confidence building thoughts and actions you are prepared to take to build up your confidence. Next, shake them up and choose only one card and then live that thought and action for a week. Just see how uplifitng it is and what a great job it does in banishing the blues and black dog days. I have carried out this technique myself using my Speechmark Confidence Cards which you can also be accessed through Stresscabin Tools .
Using the Confidence Cards I simply shuffled them up and picked one out at random. My Confidence Card for this week read " I trust where my life is taking me' You know what, I was immediately filled with hope and the knowledge that i can give up worrying over every little thing and depressing myself.
When you put cultivating confidence on the big stage and trust your lifepath you can let goest from of that depression How did it work for you?
Best from Dr Roy

Beating Depression
Stresscabin Today i want to emphasise the importance of BEATING in beating depression. There are three reasons for this - all of them make sound personal and psychological sense. First, 'beating' is an active word. It calls us to action; to do something about dealing with depression. Second, when you think about 'beating' depression you can see a time when you will have the upper hand over depression - so to speak. In this sense, 'beating' depression motivates us to never give up our efforts to overcome depression. Third, and by no means least, when we see that 'beating' depression is in our own hands, we feel energised and able to tackle depression. 'Beating' in beating depression is a power word. An energy word. Think about it.Use it often and allow it to fill you with its meaning and power.Use all of these in directing your energy, each and every moment, and in each and every single action, and thought you have to beating depression. Roy Bailey (stresscabin) on Twitter
Roy Bailey (stresscabin) on Twitter: "Walk in the snow or silent wood. Focus your attention on each step you take.Refresh your body and soul, breathing in life giving air. Sublime!" Do this every day for a week. Walk in silence. As you breath in you allow feelings of gratitude to flood your body and deeper self. With each outward breath you deepen your connection with your higher self and enlightened mind in the hear and now. Quietly smile an inward smile not of the ego but one where you feel your profound connection with the nurturing love of the universe. and what happens? Stress has drifted way like snowflakes melting in the lifegiving rays of the sun.

Beating Depression
Today i want to give out more on beating depression. In my earlier Stresscabin blog on beating depression I said how looking up can be a great help in lifting our mood. Another stresscabin tool in beating depression is to go into our treasure trove of happy memories. Try using this Stresscabin tool.Rewind and go into your most happy memories mode and pick one memory that is especially meaningful and happy for you. Now FOCUS on that happy memory; its. colour, the sounds, what people are saying, what you see and increase the intensity of that memory.
Replay your happy memory to yourself over and over again and allow the good and happy feelings to fill your body all the way form the tips of your toes and through all of your body and into your head. and notice how your mood is ligthtened. Using this Stresscabin tool the trick is not to compare then with where you are now. Just stay in the happy memory moment you have chosen, When you are ready to come back to the here and now, say goodbye to your happy memory moment but promise it you can visit it again and repeat the experience of feeling those good feelings whenever you need them.

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP
Stresscabin Tools Today I want to share with you one very helpful tip for dealing with depression. It is so simple if we ignore it we miss an opportunity for lifting our mood. What is this FREE psychological assist from Stresscabin for lifitng our mood? It is looking upwards. YES, when we look upwards we feel things are really looking up. It means doing the opposite of looking down and feeling crumpled and depressed. It is that easy. You can do it, I can do it, Everyone can do it.
Isn't it true in our experience that when we we are in a 'good' mood we often say to people 'things are looking up'. Stresscabin has many other psychological tools you can use to train your mind to manage your mood and stress. Why not test this one out. Simply spend a day looking upwards. Keep your glance, eyes and head elevated about 30 degrees above your shoulder height. Why ? because doing this changes your physiology, posure and body language. And when you allow your body language to change to a positive posture you can feel better in yourself and more attractive to others.
Looking up is FREE so give it a try and spend the whole day simply looking upwards -just enough to make a difference. Do this and notice how it helps to lift your mood and opens up the way for people to become more attracted to you. Did you try it? How did it go for you?
I'd be very interested to hear from you. Enjoy your day and go beat those winter blues

Depression
Stresscabin toolsToday I want to talk about the 'D' word. Depression. Depression is more than feeling sad and having a bad day. Depression is a profound manifestation of stress that seriously demotivates us, significantly lowers our mood, and results in pessimistic, negativistic and catastrophic thinking. Depression is the 'black dog' that can plague us night and day. It can ruin our relationships. For some ruined relationships are actually the cause of deep depression.and an attitude clouded in a persisting embedded lack of hope. One of the big hallmarks of people who are depressed is their inability to resolve and recover from significant loss such as a death of a loved one. However, experiencing loss of identity and status and an absence of love and a sense of belonging, are often associated with Depression. Interesetingly, Depression is not always easy to detect. Sometimes this is because Depression is concealed under the guise of anger. Others conceal their depression so well there is no anger. Here Depression frequently shows up in aches and pains and physical illness. These people are called 'somatizers'
But there are tell-tale signs of Depression and we see these in our behaviour. Sleeping badly (or too much), loss of interest in sex, not wanting to go out or meet people, poor concentration, memory lapses, often feeling tearful, and often suffering from a lack of energy, even though we have not done any physical exercise. But we can beat Depression. The first thing is to quickly assess and identify Depression. This can be done by Stresscabin and other professional psychological services. Catching Depression before it deepens is an excellent way to beat depression. Overcoming depression may require medical and expensive psychological treatment. But applying low cost downloadable Stresscabin Tools has helped people to better manage and overcome Depression. Having a wide range of psychological stress managment solutions and easy to use meditation practices will greatly assit anyone wanting to beat Depression.

Gorramenakasha
Hey let's not make Christmas 2010 a living hell that carries on into 2011. So here is an idea. Instead of makig resolutions for 2011 that we know we will never keep and just stress ourselves out trying to keep them, adopt your favourite positive thought and from that thought energy let it go out through you to the world. My favourtie thought energy at the moment is, "I unfold as part of the universe and the universe unfolds as part of me -the universe and I are one".Gorramenakasha!! Good or bad, it is what it is.
